Crook Pot Beef Stew

A very simple and easy to make Beef Stew recipe that the entire family will enjoy. If you want to change up the flavors a bit cut the beef broth by ½ a cup and replace with a ½ cup of red wine and double the garlic. This will provide more punch to this classic recipe.


  • 1.5 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped


  1. Mix together in a large bowl the flour, salt, and pepper. Add the meat to the bowl and mix until meat is covered. Stir in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce and mix again. Add the garlic, bay leaf, paprika, onion, potatoes, carrots, celery and transfer to slow cooker.
  2. Cover, and cook on Low setting for 10 to 12 hours, or on High setting for 4 to 6 hours.
